Award-winning author of "How to Be a Climate Optimist," Chris Turner offers a unique perspective on global advances in renewable energy, cleantech, and sustainable urban design. His previous books, such as "The Patch" and "The Leap," have been praised for their insightful analysis of contemporary energy and environmental challenges.

Bernard Drainville

As Minister of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks, and head of a central ministry in Quebec's ecological transition, Minister Drainville plays a key role in the fight against climate change, the protection of biodiversity and the deployment of structuring environmental policies for the future.

Yvan Cliche

A recognized specialist in energy and geopolitical issues, Yvan Cliche is an energy expert at the Centre for International Studies and Research at the University of Montreal (CÉRIUM).

Author of Until the very last drop – Energy issues and conflicts (Fides, 2022), a work that was a finalist for the 2023 Hubert-Reeves Prize in popular science, he regularly appears in the media to decipher the major trends and tensions in the energy sector.

Hubert Bolduc

President of Investissement Québec International since 2019, Mr. Bolduc plays a key role in attracting foreign investment and supporting Quebec exports. He previously served as President and CEO of Montréal International, as well as a senior civil servant in the Quebec public service.

As a committed administrator, he sits on several boards of directors, including those of Scale AI, Beneva, Forces AVENIR, the Palais des congrès de Montréal and the Port of Baie-Comeau.

Claude Guay

The Member of Parliament for LaSalle–Émard–Verdun and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources will deliver the closing address for ēnergiQ 2026.

With over 40 years of leadership in technology and innovation, notably as former president of IBM Canada, Claude Guay brings recognized expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation and quantum computing, serving key sectors such as energy, transportation, finance, manufacturing and the public sector.

Marie Lapointe

President and CEO of AIEQ, Marie Lapointe has 30 years of experience in the light metals and energy sectors. Holding a bachelor's degree in engineering, she has held numerous management positions in operations, marketing, and strategic analysis.

She has led manufacturing, project management and transformation teams, both in Canada and internationally, and has a deep understanding of the challenges related to structuring high-performing, resilient and competitive value chains in a tense global economic context.

Frédéric Tremblay

With extensive experience in economic diplomacy and international relations, Frédéric Tremblay is currently Director General, Americas Relations, Economic Affairs and Strategic Intelligence at the MRIF. He will set the tone for discussions on the energy transition, innovation, and Quebec's strategic role in North American and international markets.

Alexandre Paris

A seasoned entrepreneur and executive, Alexandre Paris has over 25 years of experience in innovation, business development, and operational management within energy and technology ecosystems, both in Canada and internationally. As head of ORPC Canada, he is working to deploy marine and river energy solutions, particularly for remote communities, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the strengthening of local energy security.

Benoît Boulet

Benoit Boulet is a recognized leader in Canada’s artificial intelligence ecosystem. As a representative of Canada AI, he works to strengthen collaboration between public, private, and academic stakeholders to accelerate the responsible and strategic adoption of AI nationwide. His expertise lies in technological innovation, ecosystem development, and leveraging the practical applications of AI to drive economic performance and digital transformation.

Jonathan Théorêt

Jonathan Théorêt, Division Head – Transportation, Energy and Buildings at the City of Montreal’s Office of Ecological Transition and Resilience (BTEUR), coordinates municipal initiatives related to energy transition and climate change mitigation. He led the development of the Roadmap towards zero-emission buildings in Montreal by 2040 and the resulting municipal regulations.

Jerry Joseph

At the heart of the transformation of Énergir's business model as Executive Director, Customer Experience, Jerry Joseph has a solid background in customer relations, business architecture and operations management.

Ambroise Lalloz

Ambroise Lalloz is the Director of Strategic Development at FirstBlock. He works on the deployment of water-cooled data centers and on heat recovery for multiple uses. He is particularly interested in the links between high-performance computing, energy consumption, and grid integration.

Jean-Philippe Rivest

Jean-Philippe Rivest is Head of Automation Systems Expertise at Hydro-Québec, where he is responsible for automation expertise in power plants, substations and distribution networks. He oversees key areas of local and network automation, control, protection, regulation and compensation systems, as well as interconnections, system sustainability, NERC/NPCC compliance, certification and standardization.

Alexis Segal

With a master's degree in land-use planning and regional development from Laval University, Alexis Segal has extensive professional experience in heavy industry. For the past seven years, Mr. Segal has led government relations for Glencore Canada, one of the world's largest natural resource companies. In Canada, Glencore operates mines, smelters, and refineries for nickel, zinc, copper, and steel coal.

Victor Jacquet

With extensive leadership experience in both the public and private sectors, Victor Jacquet has managed complex and strategic projects as Chief of Staff and Country Manager. His career, dedicated to sustainability and ethical reindustrialization, aligns with global trends toward carbon neutrality and responsible production. He holds a Master's degree in Comparative Law from the École Normale Supérieure in Paris.
